| Growing up in the Washington D.C. area, Donna Sullivan began her interest in travel early. During the summers off from school, the family traveled up and down the East Coast and she spent at least two weeks every summer in New York City. She was exposed early to art galleries, theater and museums by her opera singing aunt. Attending college at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville provided the opportunity to explore the southern states. Donna has also lived in Sacramento, Philadelphia, Cincinnati and Lexington, Kentucky. For more than twenty years, Donna has been designing study tours for college students to New York City, California, Italy and Sicily, France and, most recently, China and Thailand. She is now offering her experience and expertise to others interested in learning more about cuisine and world food and wine. She creates interesting tours giving the traveler access to people and places not generally included in other tours. She particularly enjoys the research involved in developing custom tours. |
As one of the founders of the local chapter of Slow Food International, her particular interest is the foods of the world, and her 20+ years of teaching at the college level, have given her a strong grounding in the arts, culinary arts and fashion.
