German Handcraft Tour itinerary
(10 days, Friday - Sunday, on land: 8 days / 8 nights)
Day 1: Individual departure from the U.S. or elsewhere
Day 2: Individual arrival & activities in Berlin. Welcome Dinner in the modern German capital Berlin - one of the most spirited and exciting cities in the world! Overnight stay: Berlin
Day 3: Historic village museum “Spreewald” in Luebbenau (garbs, tatting, artistic Easter eggs, reed covered cottages, rowing boat building), Royal Prussian Porcelain manufacture Meissen, evening in the Saxon capital Dresden. Overnight stay: Dresden
Day 4: UNESCO World Heritage site Dresden – former royal residence for Saxon kings with famous cafés (german cakes, Christmas specialty "Dresdener Stollen"), sightseeing tour river Elbe valley. Overnight stay: Dresden
Day 5: High quality watchmaker “Glashuette”, world famous toymaker village Seiffen in the Erzgebirge mountains (artistic wooden angels, Christmas pyramids, nutcrackers and more) with tourist silver ore mine “Molchner Stollen”. Overnight stay: Erfurt



Day 6: Thuringia's capital Erfurt (with famous cathedral and old town, sightseeing tour), Grill sausages Thuringian style “Rostbratwurst” & technical museum “flour mill” in Erfurt. UNESCO World Heritage site Luther fortress Wartburg in Eisenach. Overnight stay: Erfurt
Day 7: Glass-blowing manufacture in the Thuringian village Lauscha – a German tradition for over 400 years! (artistic christmas glitter balls, figures, vases etc.), microbrewery Singen (smallest family run brewery in Germany, over 100 years old traditional brew technology), Transromanica monastery ruin Paulinzella. Overnight stay: Erfurt
Day 8: Potsdam (sightseeing tour UNESCO World Heritage Sites: palace and park Sanssouci, historic own market, palace Cecilienhof) and Chocolate manufacture Potsdam. Overnight stay: Berlin
Day 9: Sightseeing tour historic Berlin (UNESCO World Heritage site Museum Island, Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Cathedral and more), boat trip, individual activities, Farewell dinner in historic Berlin. Overnight stay: Berlin
Day 10: Individual departure from Berlin and individual arrival in the U.S. or elsewhere
