Labor Day Culinary Getaway to New York City
Hop a flight on Thursday and meet in New York City for a 4-day/4 night Culinary Getaway. Friday morning head to the Union Square Green Market followed by a stroll through Greenwich Village with a stop at Jacques Torres Chocolates. Wander through the shops at Chelsea Market including Amy's Breads, Bowery Kitchenware, Sarabeth's and stop for coffee at the new Balducci's around the corner. The afternoon can be filled with neighborhood walks or dinner and a Broadway Show. A full day Saturday begins in Little Italy with cappuccino and pastry at Ferrara Café, America's First Espresso Bar and Oldest Pasticceria. Wander around this traditional neighborhood and we will stop at DiPalo Cheese Shop for a talk and taste with owner Louie DiPalo. Lunch in nearby Chinatown or SoHo, a stroll through the Jewish neighborhood in the Lower East Side. On Sunday head to the Upper East Side for a stop at Payard Bistro and lunch. After lunch head to the west side to visit world famous Zabar's or Citarella or enjoy one of New York's world class museums. After a morning of last minute shopping,head home on Monday.
