"Porcelain Painting Art & Beyond" SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL PORCELAIN ARTISTS AND TEACHERS – IPAT CONVENTION IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA TOUR WITH SONOMA WINE COUNTRY, AUGUST 12 - 23, 2012

San Francisco, California is one of the United States' most beautiful and romantic cities. Located on San Francisco Bay near the Pacific Coast, the city is home to an eclectic and culturally diverse population, great restaurants and fine museums and art galleries. Just north of the city lies the lush California wine producing Sonoma and Napa valleys. Here one will see the rugged mountains of western Sonoma County, where the Russian River flows past redwood-topped ridges, and Pacific coastal towns like Bodega Bay entice seafood lovers with Dungeness crab sold from the back of a boat. The vintners of Napa and Sonoma Valley produce some of the world's finest wines and offer fine fare to accompany the wines in scenic surroundings. Both areas are agricultural giants producing much of the organic fruits and vegetables, cheese, wine, honey and meats consumed by Americans. This tour will introduce the traveler to this popular area of the United States and offer the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the top porcelain painters from around the world. Accompanied by your German native tour guide and an American tour guide who specializes in this area, your visit will be one to remember.

The International Porcelain Artists and Teachers (IPAT) was founded in 1958 in Dallas, Texas by a small group of Porcelain Art Teachers. Today the group has members from all over the world and hosts a small museum near Dallas in Grapevine, Texas. Its publication, Porcelain Artists, features the work of its members. Its bi-annual convention includes seminars, workshops, demonstrations and exhibitors from around the world paired with fun social events and a chance for the artists and teachers to meet and learn from each other: http://www.ipatinc.com/CONVENTION.html

Join us for this exciting visit to the City by the Bay. Meet fellow porcelain artists and then travel north with us to enjoy the beautiful countryside. Extend your stay with a visit to Yosemite National Park or south to the Monterrey Coast.

We take care of the organizational details for your attendance at the exciting IPAT 2012 Convention in San Francisco so you can simply enjoy the events and porcelain art. We will take you on excursions in San Francisco and on a trip to the California wine country. We will assist you with your individual trip planning before, during, and after the IPAT tour.
